The Waist-to-Height Ratio (WHtR) is increasingly recognized by clinical endocrinologists as a superior predictor of cardiovascular and diabetic risk. As a universal clinical benchmark, keep your waist circumference under half your height (WHtR < 0.50).

For example, an individual who is 180 cm tall should aim for a waist circumference below 90 cm regardless of age or gender.
